Offered is a vintage soapstone sculpture, a seal lying on it's side. It is 10" long and in exceptional condition. It is number and signed in the inuit Syllabics. The number is more visibly clear where as the signature which is above the numbers is more faint. It seems to me the reason for this is the position of the signature falls right on the spot your fingers touch when you pick up the piece and therefore probably became more worn over the years. It is more visible when you look thru a magnifying glass and held to the light, but did not show up in the photo.
